Majors Coach - Kris Clark

Kris Clark is 29 years old, 30 at the beginning of October. He has a supportive partner, Jaimee, and three kids Logan (9), Brandy (6) and Lincoln (1). Kris has been living in Port Pirie for almost two years now. He was previously from Whyalla where he lived for ten years learning his trade as a motorcycle mechanic and working as a sample tester for the Steelworks before moving to Pirie to become an electrical wholesaler with MM Electrical.

Kris is an avid lover of football playing for the Central Whyalla Roosters and now the Prop Risdon Lions. Baseball is his preferred summer sport, prior to joining the Panthers he played in the Majors and Minors for the RSL Tigers in Whyalla. He endeavors to dust off the cobwebs and jump in to this season with an enthusiasm that he hopes will spread through the club, bringing the players together and making the Panthers a strong adversary in the 2018/2019 season.

Kris has a goal to work with the players to improve their core skills and get that first win under their belts. From there, he plans to continue to improve on those core skills and fine tune their game play to really challenge their competitors. This will be his first-time coaching at a senior level, previously he has coached a junior football team, but he looks forward to the challenges ahead.

His expectation as coach is that players never give up. He wants players to try their hardest during every play. If something doesn't work or a mistake is made, don't dwell on it, learn from it and try again. Kris believes trainings are where it is important to really develop their skills for game day and encourages all players to try to make it out to as many trainings as possible.
